Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient Hazardous Compounding
The Pharmacy Technician-Inpatient Hazardous Compounding (IHC) is a highly specialized tech performing a variety of complex functions in the preparation of chemotherapeutic agents. They must be competent in sterile product preparation, have a thorough understanding of the principles of laminar flow hoods, & possess knowledge of United States Pharmacopeia (USP) <797> & USP <800> compounding standards for antineoplastic/cytotoxic agents, including the precautions needed in handling these products.
